How the Scrabble cheat works.
Type the seven tiles on your rack (use ? for a blank). The tool checks every word in the ENABLE dictionary that can be built from those letters and ranks them by point value, descending. The highest-scoring word possible from your rack alone gets the green highlight at the top.
// LETTER VALUES
Standard Scrabble scoring: A E I O U L N S T R = 1, D G = 2, B C M P = 3, F H V W Y = 4, K = 5, J X = 8, Q Z = 10. Blanks score 0 but can stand in for any letter.
// WHAT THIS DOESN’T DO
- Board bonuses — double-letter, triple-word, and friends depend on tile placement. Add the bonus mentally for the squares you can hit.
- Bingo bonus — playing all 7 tiles in one turn earns +50. Words of length 7 in the list are bingo candidates.
- Strategic word choice — sometimes the highest-scoring play hands your opponent a triple-word lane. Score is a starting point, not the whole game.
// IS THIS “CHEATING”?
Depends who you ask. For tournament play, no — using any aid is grounds for disqualification. For learning, casual games, or just settling whether QI is really a word? Treat it as a teacher. The dictionary is the same one your friends’ phones are using.
