Privacy.
Last updated: April 21, 2026. Krill Kits is built to be useful without collecting personal data. We don’t require accounts, we don’t track across sessions, and the only cookies we set are for ads — and only if you accept them.
// WHAT WE COLLECT
- Tool inputs stay in your browser. The math runs client-side. We don’t log what you unscramble, convert, or calculate.
- LocalStorage preferences. Some tools (Word Counter, Password Generator) remember your last settings in your browser’s localStorage. This never leaves your device.
- Server access logs. Our host (Vercel) logs standard request metadata — IP, user agent, path, timestamp — for security and performance. Logs are retained briefly and never sold.
- Consent choice. Your accept/decline decision from the cookie banner is stored in localStorage under the key
kk-consent.
// ADVERTISING
We use Google AdSense to fund the free tools. If you accept cookies, AdSense may set cookies and process personal data to show personalized ads. If you decline, AdSense runs in non-personalized mode — you’ll still see ads, but they won’t use tracking data from your browser. We implement Google Consent Mode v2 so this signal is passed to Google automatically.
// THIRD PARTIES
- Google AdSense — ads and ad measurement. Google’s privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting and CDN. Vercel’s privacy policy.
- dictionaryapi.dev — per-word definitions on the Unscrambler and Anagram tools. Requests send only the word being looked up.
// YOUR RIGHTS
You can clear consent at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for this site or by using your browser’s “clear site data” feature. EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR; California residents have rights under CCPA. To exercise those rights, use the contact form.
// CHILDREN
Krill Kits is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
// CHANGES
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date at the top and post a note on the homepage.
